Mountain Gateway Fiji

Mountain Gateway Fiji takes pleasure in connecting many of Fiji's visitors with the unique aspects of Pacific culture and scenery. Mountain Gateway Fiji is a new sightseeing brand in Fiji and offers a wide range of tours to the interior on Viti Levu.  

48 kilometers from Nadi International Airport, through lush vegetation and beautiful mountain ranges lay a small Fijian Village. Bukuya Village is on the boarder of 2 provinces in the mainland of Viti Levu. The Village has a central location as it connects 3 major towns while accessing the roads through the interior of Fiji.

The village is home to the High Chief of the District of Magodro consisting of 5 Villages. It has a Health Center and a School to cater for the district where students leave there families to board at the school premises. Christianity is the only Religion Practiced in the District. 

Bukuya holds so many ancient stories that tell of how the Fijian lived and worshiped. Today we can still see some of this lifestyles being observed and maintained. An Old Village site displays how the people protected themselves during the tribal war era. These stories are told through songs and dances that are passed down from generations to generations.

The Village is surrounded by Magnificent Waterfalls and Caves. People still engage in Wild Pig Hunting and River Fishing just as the ancients have practiced in the olden days. All these activities are what make up the Fijian people and how they live is remarkable.
